  • The degree and transcript must be authenticated through a suitable method as detailed on the next page.
  • Any documents in languages other than English or Korean need to be translated into English or Korean prior to submission.

4 Recommendation Letter(s)
  • You are welcome to submit recommendation letters in any format.
  • While one recommendation is acceptable, you may request multiple letters from past or current professors, or supervisors at your workplace.
  • Letters should be written in either English or Korean.
5 Official English Proficiency Test Report
TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC/etc.
or Equivalent English Proficiency Document
  • Test results must be dated no earlier than 24th May 2022.
    • Minimum Score Requirements – TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, NEW TEPS 326, or TOEIC 700 points or above
  • Applicants without official language proficiency test scores may still be considered capable of studying in English based on the admission committee’s review of their application documents.
  • Those who have completed an undergraduate degree in English can submit an official statement from their university as proof of proficiency.
6 Photocopy of Passport
  • A photocopy of the passport’s information page is required for verification purposes.
  • If you currently do not possess a passport, kindly inform us at the time of your document submission via email.
7 Certificate of Parent’s Nationality
  • The applicant must submit Family Relationship or Birth Certificate issued by the Government of the applicant’s country.
8 Family Relation Certificate
  • Family Relation Certificate with notarized translation (Korean or English) and Household Register(户口本或是亲属关系公证) with notarized translation.
9 Financial Ability Certificate

One original bank statement with a balance of KRW 16,000,000 or more (issued within 1 month). If issued in USD, please apply the exchange rate based on the issuance date of the statement.

  • If the expiration date is specified: Freeze the funds until at least September 2024.

For residents of China, both of the following conditions(① and ②) must be met;

  • ① issued on or after April 22, 2024.
  • ② maintain the freeze until at least September 2024.

Applicants currently residing in Korea with Foreign Residence Card must submit an original bank balance statement issued in applicant’s own name by a bank in Korea.

Successful applicants will need to obtain and submit an additional bank statement for visa issuance at a later stage.

10 Employment and Income Certificate of Sponsor
  • Notarized and translated (into English) Certificate of Employment and Income issued within recent three (3) months must be submitted.
Additional Documents

  • For applicants currently in Korea: A photocopy of both sides of the Residence Card (formerly called Alien Registration Card or ARC).
  • Optional: Submission of official Korean test results (TOPIK or KLAT) and a current employment certificate may be considered.

All required documents must be prepared and submitted by the submission deadline.
- If you are unable to present the original hard copy of apostille or consular-verified documents by the application deadline due to unexpected circumstances, please first submit a notarized copy. Then, prepare and resubmit the confirmed hard copies before June 7, 2024.

All documents must be submitted to the Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul either by Postal Mail or in person by May 31, 2024.

All required documents must be submitted unstapled and unclipped, arranged in the order listed above.

Documents in languages other than Korean or English must be translated into Korean or English and notarized prior to submission.

None of the submitted documents, including supporting materials, will be returned to the applicants. We advise applicants to prepare additional copies of their documentation for visa applications.
