Firstly, I am very thankful to PSPS Yeungnam University for providing such a great opportunity. Taking about the event, it was one of the unforgettable memory for me. I got an opportunity to interact with elder Korean people. The grandmother and grandfather helped me to wear traditional dress. They treat me like their own grandson and I felt very blessed and emotional too because it memorizes my grandparents and family.  I learned the way to give respect to elder people in traditional Korean style by bowing head. Besides that, I got my Korean name in the script given by them and opportunity to taste the traditional tea and alcohol. In overall, it was a great day and I enjoyed a lot. - Rabin (Nepal)

Studying here in Yeungnam University as a full scholar is such a huge honor, plus as an international student being able to experience and take part in this kind of traditional Korean culture is a privilege and a memorable event. I've learned a lot, and I've enjoyed it. Therefore, I'm excited to experience more Korean cultures throughout my journey here in Korea. 감사합니다! -  Jelly Bean (Philippines)

To be honest, that was an unforgettable memory of my student life in Korea. It is an honor for me to participate in this event. Thank you to the teachers at PSPS in particular and Yeungnam University in general for giving me this great opportunity. I got to know more about Korean culture and was helped by people to experience wearing Hanbok and performing rituals in the coming of age ceremony such as bowing, drinking alcohol, and so on. All of them have special meaning to me.  I would like to thank you all once again for giving me an once-in-a-lifetime experience like this. Thank you very much. - Camtu (Vietnam)

My sincere gratitude for providing me with the opportunity to participate in this traditional ceremony that is so important here in Korea. Thank you for making time to prepare us and for the learning experience. While most Americans are familiar with "Sweet Fifteen" parties ― fancy 15th birthday celebrations held in Latin America, we do not have a specific day on which they acknowledge the start of adulthood. It's my first time participating in a Korean traditional activity, learning how in Korea they show gratitude with more than words with the bow, the love the elder put in preparing us, explaining the sequence of the event, give to each of us a Korean name based on our personalities and make an inclusive event are gestures that touch my heart. This was a fun and nurturing experience. - Maria (Panama)

Firstly, I would like to appreciate the administration of PSPS and Yeunganm University for allowing me to participate in this cultural ceremony. This has been one of the greatest experiences for me,  I was so excited in learning about this culture, especially the way we were treated by our parents like a queen 👸.   In my culture, this is far away different, where your parents will have a ceremony for your mature age and give you some important information, which I really admire and adopt a plan to implement in the future. The welcoming, the traditional tea, the hanbok wear,  the fixing of our hair, and the way of bowing, sitting, and standing, also the taking of pictures were new experiences I got on that day, especially the meaning of my traditional name.  I saw how the program was important and interesting to the people, thank everyone that made the ceremony successful and PSPS for the opportunity not forgetting about my name as well 현서 Thank you. - Makemes (Liberia)
