On March 20, 2026, ahead of Korea’s Arbor Day, more than 60 PSPS students participated in a tree-planting event at the Academical Forest on campus.

Working alongside Forest and Environmental Policy students, participants gained hands-on experience planting trees while learning about South Korea’s development through the Saemaul Undong movement.

The event highlighted the country’s achievements in reforestation and forest restoration, as well as the role of forests as carbon sinks. It also aligned with the university’s ESG initiatives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly carbon neutrality and climate action.

Through this activity, students deepened their understanding of sustainable forest management, making the event both educational and meaningful.
